Is it free?
Yes — drive tracking, logbook, markers, and navigation are free. Premium unlocks live-voice convoys, unlimited markers, and advanced stats.
Which cars does it work with?
Any car. Open Road uses your phone, not a dongle, not an OBD-II reader. If you have a phone and a car, it works.
Does it need internet while I drive?
No — drives log offline. Map tiles cache. Convoy voice and live-map features need a connection, the rest syncs when you reconnect.
What is convoy voice chat?
Push-to-talk voice between everyone in a convoy, over LTE. Built for the road — no typing, no taking your eyes off driving.
How accurate is the route tracking?
GPS-accurate. We record at a 1-second cadence and clean up noise automatically, so elevation, speed, and route shape stay honest.
Does it drain my battery?
About the same as Apple Maps or Google Maps with navigation running. We're working to improve it.
Can I use it on track days?
Yep — track it like any other drive.
