Delete Your Account

If you'd like to delete your Open Road account and all associated data, you can do so directly from the app. The process is the same on both iOS and Android.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Open Road app
  2. Go to the Profile tab (bottom right)
  3. Tap the Settings icon (top right)
  4. Scroll down to the "Account & Permissions" section
  5. Tap Delete Account
  6. Type DELETE to confirm
  7. Tap Delete Forever

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (name, email, username, profile photo)
  • All recorded drives and drive history
  • Vehicle data and garage
  • Insights and statistics
  • Speed traps and speed zones
  • Social data (friends, leaderboard entries, convoy history)
  • Subscription and billing records

Retention period

Account deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately. Your Firebase authentication account and Firestore user document are deleted right away. There is no retention period — once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

Active subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an active Pro subscription, you should cancel it separately:

  • iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Open Road → Cancel
  • Android: Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Open Road → Cancel
