Open Road keeps a log of every drive you take: the route, the time, the distance and the day. You do not write anything down. You just drive, and the log is there a year later. Free to download on iPhone and Android.
What each entry keeps
- The route, drawn on the map.
- The time the drive took and the distance.
- The day you took it, and the car you took.
- On iPhone, the weather that day, so you remember how it was.
Nothing to start, nothing to stop
On iPhone the log starts on its own when you drive. The store run counts. So does the long way home. That is the point of a log: the drives you would never think to save are the ones you end up glad you kept.
A garage for every car
Add every car you own and each keeps its own drives and its own miles. Streaks and milestones build as you go, and premium adds deeper stats and more of your history.
Your log, on one map
Every drive in the log also adds its roads to your map. Scroll the log for a single day, or look at the map for every road you have ever driven.
Questions, answered
- What is a drive log app?
- A drive log app keeps a record of your drives. Open Road saves each one with the route drawn on the map, the time, the distance and the day you took it, so you can look back at any drive later.
- How do I see all my past drives?
- Open your drive log in Open Road and scroll back. Every drive is there, newest first, and each road you took is also on your map.
- Can I keep a separate log for each car?
- Yes. Your garage holds every car you own, and each one is tracked on its own.
- Is this a driving log for learner permit hours?
- No. Open Road is not built to log supervised practice hours for a permit or license. It keeps your own drives for you.
- Is it a mileage log for taxes?
- No. It keeps the distance of every drive, but it has no business or personal labels and no tax reports.
