Driving Roads / Going-to-the-Sun Road
This roughly 50-mile engineering marvel crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass in Glacier National Park, carved into sheer cliffs with glacier and valley views. It runs about 50 miles along Going-to-the-Sun Road in Montana, roughly ~2 hours one way of driving.
Best experienced as a scenic replay of the full pass crossing; track elevation gain and drive time rather than speed on this narrow alpine route.
Seasonal, narrow and exposed with tight vehicle-size limits; drive slowly, use pullouts, and never stop in the roadway.
Open Road is free on iPhone and Android.
